Welcome to the information page of the Program EU for a green Turkmenistan: Policy Dialogue and Climate Action 2024-2028.

The Program is implemented in Turkmenistan on behalf of the European Union and the German Federal Foreign Office and is aimed at:

• Strengthening EU-Turkmenistan relations and policy dialogue in the area of energy, environment and climate policies,
• Implementation and maintenance of international and EU best practices and standards, enhancing EU-Turkmenistan cooperation concerning climate change, promoting renewable energy sources, energy efficiency by reducing methane emissions, as well as by increasing awareness and understanding of the EU and its role in the country, the region of Central Asia and the world,
• Stimulation of socio-economic development by supporting the implementation of the National Strategy of Turkmenistan on Climate.

The Program activities are carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and the State Concern “Turkmengas”.
