The Environmental Initiative ‘Glacier Preservation Month–2025’ has concluded in Tajikistan

On the eve of the High-Level International Conference on Glacier Preservation in Dushanbe, the environmental initiative “Glacier Preservation Month–2025” concluded. The initiative was organized by the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the support of the GIZ program “Green Central Asia.” This environmental campaign united concerned individuals across the country in the effort to protect one of the most vulnerable natural resources — glaciers.

Over the course of the month, a range of events took place, including thematic podcasts, an online quiz with more than 100 participants, photo exhibitions and information campaigns, radio broadcasts on national stations, and the children’s drawing contest “Glacier Preservation – Our Future” featuring young artists.

The active participation confirmed the growing interest in the issue of glacier melting and the willingness to take action. We thank everyone who participated in the campaign — volunteers, experts, schoolchildren, students, scientists, and all those who did not stand aside!
