Strengthening the capacity of the Kyrgyz Hydrogeological Expedition

To strengthen the capacity of the State Enterprise ‘Kyrgyz Hydrogeological Expedition’ under the Water Resources Service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, modern IT equipment was handed over on 4 December by the regional programme ‘Climate-sensitive Water Resources Management in Central Asia’ implemented by GIZ.

This initiative seeks to improve the effectiveness of groundwater monitoring and optimize water resource management in the context of climate change. By addressing these critical challenges, the program contributes to sustainable development and the protection of the region’s natural resources.

The programme is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ), the European Union and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
