Within the framework of the Joint Regional Programme of Germany and Switzerland ‘Climate-sensitive water resources management in Central Asia’, a ceremony of handing over the equipment such as generator, computers, monitors, printers, etc. was held at the GIZ office in Dushanbe on 10 September 2024. The equipment is intended to improve technical capacities of the basin organisations in the Zerafshan, Kafirnigan, Vakhsh and Panj river basins in Tajikistan.
The equipment is provided to enhance the operational capacity of the River Basin Organisations in their efforts to manage water resources effectively and sustainably in response to climate challenges. This initiative forms part of the broader effort to strengthen institutional capacities and ensure the successful implementation of water management strategies in Tajikistan.
