On September 17, 2024, GIZ and The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan have signed an agreement on the implementation of a project to develop renewable energy sources in Central Asia.
The aim of the project is to support policy makers, power grid operators and government agencies in all five Central Asian countries in order to create a favorable environment for the further development and integration of renewable energy sources.
Through the promotion of renewable energy integration, the project seeks to address environmental and socio-economic challenges, contributing to a sustainable future for Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
