On May 17, a multilateral dialogue dedicated to the joint implementation of the Multilateral Dialogue on the Joint Implementation of the Regional Climate Change Adaptation Strategy for Central Asia took place in Dushanbe as part of the second phase of the ‘Green Central Asia’ program. This event marked a significant step in supporting the preparation and implementation of the strategy, attracting experts from the Collective Leadership Institute (CLI), Germany.
The dialogue in Dushanbe gathered a wide range of participants, including members of the Regional Working Group on the Climate Change Adaptation Strategy, representatives of the Secretariat of the Interstate Commission for Water Coordination (ICWC), and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) of Tajikistan.
The agenda addressed key aspects of the strategy, including a common understanding of its goals, determining success factors for implementation, and assessing the current potential for cooperation among all stakeholders.
The event facilitated the strengthening of interaction between governmental and non-governmental structures and also allowed for the development of concrete steps for the effective implementation of the strategy at the regional level.
