Within the framework of the GIZ Regional Project “Climate-Sensitive Water Resources Management in Central Asia”, 15 water and environmental specialists from five Central Asian countries participated in a study tour to Munich from May 12 to 17, 2024.
The main objective of the trip was to enhance the capacity of Central Asian specialists in integrated water resources management, surface and groundwater quality and water resources management in accordance with the European Union Water Framework Directive. For the participants of the study tour, meetings were organized with representatives of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry and the Ministry of Environment and Consumer Protection of the State of Bavaria. The participants also had an opportunity to visit the international exhibition “IFAT 2024”, where they were familiarized with advanced and innovative technologies in the field of water treatment, water purification, recycling and waste management.
