ASTANA. KAZINFORM reports that the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, in response to a parliamentary enquiry, spoke about joint regional projects taking into account international environmental agreements, sharing plans to sign an agreement on the implementation of a regional programme between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and GIZ. The enquiry and the response itself drew attention to the implementation of joint efforts in the framework of Germany’s ‘Green Central Asia Initiative’.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also referred in his response to the regional statement on behalf of the Central Asian governments “Voice of Central Asia” at COP27, which outlines the common challenges of climate change in the region and proposes steps for adaptation and mitigation.
