The five days interactive online training on climate and crop modelling in Central Asia was held from 15th to 19th of November. The workshop introduced the participants to climate change in the region, agroclimatic indices relevant for crop production and the theoretical basis of empirical crop models. Both parts contained practical exercises in programming language R to exemplify the contents. To enable all participants to follow these exercises, a pre-workshop introductory course into R was provided during two days, relating to similar contents.
The lectures during the training were provided by Lennart Jansen, Paula Aschenbrenner and Dr. Prof. Bernhard Schauberger.
