Green Central Asia – CAWa Green meets with the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology, National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan

Partners of CAWa (Central Asia Water) Green project which is part of the Green Central Asia Initiative funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany met on 27. October with the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology, National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan (IWPHE NAST) to discuss cooperation possibilities between the institutes

The CAWa Green team with Dr. Tilo Schöne, Dr. Milena Latinovic, Dr Abror Gafurov and Mr Najib Kakar from the German Geo-Science Research Center in Potsdam, and Prof. Dr. Cristopher Conrad and Dr. Muhammad Usman from the University of Halle-Wittenberg discussed with the Director Mr. Amirzoda Orif Khamid, Dr Jafar Niyazov and Prof. Yarash Pulatov, head of the Department of Innovative Technologies at IWPHE NAST.

During the meeting research interests of both sides were presented and discussed very lively and in detail. It became very obvious that there is potential for further scientific exchange and cooperation and the agreement was reached to identify concrete joint collaboration pathways via further communication.
