On July 27, 2021, a bilateral meeting took place between Mr. Rahimzoda S., Chairman of the Executive Committee of IFAS and Mr. Alexander Nikolayenko, Regional Adviser of the Green Central Asia Program (GIZ)
At the meeting, they discussed possible areas of cooperation between EC IFAS and GIZ as part of the German Federal Foreign Office’s ‘Green Central Asia’ initiative.
It was highlighted that as part of this initiative, a draft ’Regional Action Plan for a Joint Political Dialogue on Climate, Environment and Security’ was developed in accordance with the Berlin Declaration of January 28, 2020.
The Joint Action Plan provides a framework for regional policy dialogue, which covers four major themes for the Green Central Asia policy dialogue platform.

Climate change impact on land management
Cooperation in and contribution to international instruments
Waste management
The parties also noted the importance of EC IFAS participation in the implementation of the Regional Action Plan.
